The chemistry project that I chose to represent my learning for this quarter was my vaping chemistry video.
For this project we had to create a video representing our learning of the past lessens we had in chemistry class. We leaned about the science behind vaping and why its bad for you. We had to depict a clear image in our video. That vaping is not good. We had to work in groups of two or three. My group members were Ezra and Analise. For this project it was fairly hard for us to all get together in one place and work on the project altogether. Me and Ezra were the only ones working on the project. Analise helped with some of the pre planning of the video. I edited the video and starred in it and Ezra filmed the video. I think we could have tried a little harder to distribute the work load of the project.
What 21s century skills did you use for this project? And how does it show growth?
The 21st century skills I used for this project where, self directional skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills, Problem solving skills, and information skills.
Information skills was used because I had to look up some information about what exactly was in a vape, and some other info that wasn't conformed. Interpersonal skills was used because I was in a group, Although I think we could have used that skill to try harder to get all of our teammates to be in the video. So I think that 21st centry skill could have been strengthened, but it wasn't. I think I learned what not to do in group projects. I think we could have tried harder to distribute the work evenly across our group members.
I think a 21st century skill that strengthened was my self directional skills. Even though we did not evenly spread out the project's workload I think i did a good job editing and doing my part.
How does this represent learning?
This project shows all that I learned throughout the few weeks we learned about vaping. It shows that we learned that we should not vape and its really bad for you.
What can I improve on this project?
I think My project could have used more planning because we kind-off just made it up as we went along. We also should have added in something from everyone in the group in the video.
