Description, Questions
This project was part of many other personal writing assignments we had In ELA. This was one we could express our artistic side with our writing. I didn't draw any from this project because I though it looked good without it but I did in other projects. I think I liked to write this more than other poems because we didn't have to rhyme and I though it sounded really poetic.
Which 21st century skills do you feel this assignment addresses, and why?
The 21st century skills I feel were used during this project were, Self-directional skills and Communication skills.
I feel we used self directional skills because we did this project on our own. We used communication skills because I shared it with the class.
What are you most proud of for this assignment, and why?
I am most proud of my meaningful words and artistry. I really like how I added some things that only I would understand from my past. I also love the way I displayed it. I did it on a very long piece of paper with colorful calligraphy words at the beginning of each line.
How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st century skills with this assignment?
I Feel I developed my skills because I was working alone and it had a specific deadline so I got it done and turned it in on that deadline.
What was most difficult about completing this task?
This assignment was overall easy but I feel like the hardest park coming up with meaningful things to put in the poem.
It was also hard because I originally had put the project one piece of paper but it wouldn't all fit so I had to continually glue pieces of paper on the end.
How could you improve you work? if you could start over, what would you do different?
I feel like I could have improved it by adding more artistic things to the final product. I would have also made it neater and overall a nicer presentation. Plus I think I didn't really do good on the spelling/grammar. I also think I could have ended the poem better.
How does this relate to what you have learned in the part?
I learned somewhere in the part about how to make good poems and such. I feel I have learned from other poems I have read in the past, to make it poetic, like no one can understand it but you. I also learned about calligraphy outside of school so I wanted to try that.
How can you apply this to future learning?
In the future we might do other things involving poems so this is a really good thing to look back on. in the future this work could show have much I might improve so I could motivate me into doing really well.
